Five hundred artists exhibit their work in 14 categories including ceramics, computer-generated, drawing, fibre, glass, jewellery, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolour and wood. Celebrating its 45th birthday this year, TOAE provides an alternative venue for established artists, as well as new talent and innovative art students.
An open-air alternative to conventional galleries and museums, TOAE has become one of Toronto’s most anticipated events of the summer. “It’s fun, it’s engaging and it gets people excited about art,” says Alison Eagles, Executive Director. “If you ever thought, why’d they do that? This is your chance to ask the makers themselves.”
TOAE has been the spring board for many of Canada‘s top artists. Joanne Tod, Ken Danby and Jesse Boles have all set up booths in the sun during the early parts of their careers. TOAE has selected the cream of the crop to bring an impressive art experience to downtown Toronto every summer for 45 years!
There is a special student section where visitors can see young talent coming out of art schools across the country. Who knows, maybe you’ll find the next Picasso – either way, come see it first on Nathan Phillips Square this July!

Nothing creates excitement lke a tent sale. I have been on the installation crew putting up tents in parking lots for tent sales and been repeatedly stoppled from my work bym passersby wanting to know what will be happening. The curiosity gets the better of them.
ASAP Tent and Party Rentals has experience in tent sales going back more than 20 years. This experience can be put to good use when you plan your next sales event.
Tent will be installed on the afternoon of July 7, 2009.

If you are hosting a party, wedding reception or any private function either at a rented venue or in you own home you should contact you insurance agent. You might want to consider purchasing event liability insurance. As party rental suppliers we are often asked about our liability insurance with the expectation that we will cover costs. Too many issues these days require special consideration. Property damage, personal injuries and alcohol related incidents are top concerns. A auto accident involving an intoxicated guest or if a guest trips and falls on your front step are items that can be addressed by this type of policy. This kind of policy is designed for these special needs.
Many banquet halls, event venues and some tent rental companies insist that the event host carries such protection. A policy designed for your event will cover items not covered by your homeowners policy and any claim will not effect your existing insurance.
Call your insurance agent to find out more before your next event.
